The Manchester Lancers will face off against the Midlothian Trojans at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Manchester is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.

Manchester is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Cosby just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 6-1 to the Titans. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Easton Butts was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and one double.

Meanwhile, Midlothian was able to grind out a solid victory over James River Midlothian on Thursday, taking the game 10-7. The Trojans have beaten the Rapids the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Rapids has come to flipping the script.

Midlothian now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Manchester, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.

Manchester came out on top in a nail-biter against Midlothian when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 5-4. Will the Lancers repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
