The Lake Forest Scouts will face off against the Glenbrook South Titans at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Lake Forest is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
On Friday, Lake Forest was able to grind out a solid victory over Deerfield, taking the game 9-4.
Lake Forest got a great performance from Hudson Scroggins as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over 4.2 innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Scroggins has posted since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, Charlie Quick was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs and two RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Jack Lamberti was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Lake Forest was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .419. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Glenbrook South owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. They came out on top against Evanston by a score of 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Titans.
The result came thanks to Jack Valentinas's shutout, as he gave up just three hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Clancy Rogers, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double.
Lake Forest's win bumped their record up to 12-13. As for Glenbrook South, their victory bumped their record up to 11-16.
Lake Forest's speedy runners might be the difference in Saturday's game. The Scouts have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Glenbrook South, though, as they've been averaging only 1.2 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Lake Forest continue to outrun the ball?
