While Batesburg-Leesville's victory against Barnwell wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Panthers had just enough and edged out the Warhorses 3-2 on Monday. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warhorses, too.

Batesburg-Leesville's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jack Bouknight, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

The victory made it two in a row for Batesburg-Leesville and bumps their season record up to 13-4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Barnwell, the loss snapped their winning streak at 12 games and leaves them with a 14-4 record.

Coincidentally, Batesburg-Leesville and Barnwell will both be playing Saluda the next time they take the field. The Warhorses will host the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Panthers will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
