Tupelo posted their closest win since December 17, 2024 on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 42-39 victory over the Center Hill Mustangs. The Golden Wave have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mustangs, too.

Tupelo has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 51.5 points this season. As for Center Hill, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, Tupelo will challenge Starkville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Center Hill, they will take on Lewisburg at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs will need to watch out since the Patriots have now posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.
