Baseball Recap: Oak Ridge Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Oak Ridge's offense. They came up short against the Windermere Prep Lakers on Wednesday, falling 18-0. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, the Pioneers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Oak Ridge saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Geraldo Garcia, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Oak Ridge has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season. Windermere Prep's record now sits at 5-8.

Coming up, Oak Ridge will head out on the road to face off against Jones at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Windermere Prep, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Belleview at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
