Football Recap: Wasco Tigers vs. Shafter Generals
Wasco won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They came up short against the Shafter Generals, falling 35-14. The Tigers lost against the Generals in their previous head to head back in October of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 49-6 score last time.
Christopher Espinoza was his usual excellent self, rushing for 49 yards and two touchdowns for Shafter.
Wasco's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Shafter, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.
As of now, neither Wasco nor Shafter have any future games scheduled.
