Volleyball Game Preview: Centennial Titans vs. McKinney North Bulldogs

Centennial is 1-7 against McKinney North since September of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Titans will venture away from home to square off against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Centennial comes in on five and McKinney North on 21.

Centennial is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Reedy. The game was the first time the Titans have beaten the Lions on their court since October 15, 2019.

Meanwhile, McKinney North made easy work of Texas on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

McKinney North found their leader in freshman Brynli Burgess, who had 12 digs and three aces. Burgess has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last three times she's played.

McKinney North was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October.

McKinney North's win bumped their record up to 34-3. As for Centennial, their victory bumped their record up to 29-8.

Centennial came up short against McKinney North in their previous meeting back in August, falling 2-0. Can the Titans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
