Basketball Recap: Cordia Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Cordia faced off against Buckhorn on Friday. The Cordia Lions fell 58-46 to the Buckhorn Wildcats. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 73-42 back in December of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Cordia and nudges their season record down to 2-10. As for Buckhorn, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-12 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cordia has already played their next matchup (against Owsley County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Buckhorn will face off against Jackson City at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
