Football Recap: Cornersville Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Cornersville lost against Eagleville back in November of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bulldogs were outmatched by the Eagles and fell 34-6. The match marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Braxton Polly threw for 89 yards on nine of 15 attempts. Hunter Uland was his top target, picking up 29 receiving yards.

Eagleville got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jonathan Jordan out in front who rushed for 132 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. Another rusher making a difference was Marshall Fields, who rushed for 67 yards and a pair of scores.

This is the second loss in a row for Cornersville and nudges their season record down to 3-2. As for Eagleville, they now also have a winning record of 3-2.

Coming up, Cornersville will square off against Houston County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Eagleville, they will take on Richland on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Eagles 11.6, the Raiders 14.8) so any points scored will be well earned.
