Basketball Game Preview: Christian Community Colts vs. Franklin Road Christian Minutemen

The Christian Community Colts will head out to take on the Franklin Road Christian Minutemen at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Christian Community's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.

Christian Community took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They walked away with a 65-52 victory over South Haven Christian.

Meanwhile, Franklin Road Christian ended up a good deal behind Lancaster Christian Academy on Saturday and lost 70-55.

Christian Community will need to focus on slowing down Pierre DeShields, one of several Franklin Road Christian players who made an impact when they last played. He went 6 of 9 on his way to 14 points along with six boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Alcorn, who went 5 for 9 en route to 12 points and eight rebounds.

Christian Community is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-15 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.2 points over those games. As for Franklin Road Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 21-13.

Christian Community came up short against Franklin Road Christian when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 59-54.
