Basketball Recap: Spokane Comes Up Short

Spokane was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 69-40 loss at the hands of the Greenwood Blue Jays. While losing is never fun, the Owls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 505th, while the Blue Jays are ranked 50th).

Spokane's defeat dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Greenwood, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Spokane will host Pleasant Hope at 5:00 p.m. on January 28th. As for Greenwood, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Crane at 7:45 p.m. on February 11th.
