Softball Recap: Hamilton Comes Up Short

Hamilton extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to eight on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-5. They came up short against the Westview Warriors, falling 14-3. The Marines were not able to make up for their loss to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in May of 2025.

As for Westview, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9.2 runs.

For Westview's part, Breanna Garrett made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. Garrett was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Hamilton will venture away from home to challenge Angola at 5:30 p.m. on the 13th. As for Westview, they will head out to face off against Prairie Heights at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
