Basketball Recap: Starmont Comes Up Short

Starmont lost against Maquoketa Valley back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Starmont Stars were beaten by the Maquoketa Valley Wildcats 74-34. The Stars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Starmont's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Maquoketa Valley, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Starmont will host West Central at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Maquoketa Valley, they will head out on the road to square off against Springville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Springville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
