Volleyball Recap: Northwestern Regional's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Northwestern Regional waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Lakeview Warriors. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on September 5th.

Northwestern Regional never let Lakeview on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-22, 25-8.

Taylor Kelley paced Northwestern Regional's offense, picking up six kills. Kelley got some help from Madi Landi and her 11 assists. Josephine Quinto controlled things from the service line, finishing with nine aces.

Northwestern Regional's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Lakeview, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northwestern Regional will head out to take on St. Paul Catholic at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lakeview, they will venture away from home to face off against Nonnewaug at 5:15 p.m. on October 2.
