Baseball Recap: Augusta Comes Up Short

Augusta came into this matchup off a tough ten-run loss last Monday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Collegiate Spartans by a score of 7-5 on Monday. The Orioles' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it six in a row.

Mason Pocock and Jett Santoya stepped up to the plate in a big way. Pocock scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Santoya went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Augusta's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Collegiate, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.
