Volleyball Recap: Thien Tran and Shyla Wang Secure Win for Prospect + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Prospect, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top against the Gilroy Mustangs by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2022.

While Prospect might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Gilroy scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 21-25, 25-23, 25-18.

Prospect was led to victory by Shyla Wang and Thien Tran. Wang had 21 digs, while Tran had five digs and five aces. Those 21 digs gave Wang a new career-high.

Prospect now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Gilroy, they dropped their record down to 8-5 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Prospect will challenge Pioneer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Gilroy, they will be playing at home against Willow Glen at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
