Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Unity Christian's Fifth in Last Six Outings

Unity Christian saw some tournament action on Saturday. They came out on top against Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family by a score of 2-0.

Emily Merema paced Unity Christian's offense, picking up nine kills. Merema got some help from Maddy Wilbur and her seven assists. Wilbur was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Unity Christian has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-9 record this season. As for Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-8.

Unity Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Arthur-Okaw Christian on the 18th. As for Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Families of Faith Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
