Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Scurry-Rosser). They breezed past the Rice Bulldogs to the tune of 62-7 on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won five in a row.

Scurry-Rosser didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Corbin Hoard and McCrae Manos. Hoard got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Scurry-Rosser's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Rice, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Scurry-Rosser and Rice will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Wildcats see the field they'll take on Gateway Charter Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. As for Rice, their break will end when they face Inspired Vision at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
