Basketball Game Preview: West Prairie Cyclones vs. Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes

West Prairie hasn't had much luck against Abingdon/Avon recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Cyclones will square off against the Tornadoes at 5:30 p.m.

On Wednesday, West Prairie took a blow against Illini West, falling 72-39.

Meanwhile, Abingdon/Avon strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 46-41 W against Macomb. The game was the first time the Tornadoes have beaten the Bombers on their court since December 29, 2018.

Abingdon/Avon's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for West Prairie, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

West Prairie took a serious blow against Abingdon/Avon in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 55-18. Can the Cyclones avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
