Hume suffers fourth straight loss on the road

Recap: Hume Hornets vs. Bronaugh Wildcats

The Hume Hornets were the 47-43 winner over the Bronaugh Wildcats when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. Hume fell just short of Bronaugh by a score of 46-44.

Bronaugh's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Strauss Banes, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Banes has scored at least 25% of Bronaugh's points. Luke Bowling was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.

Hume bumped their record down to 2-1 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Bronaugh, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Drexel the next time they take the court. Bronaugh will head out to face Drexel at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Hume will host them at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
