It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Moapa Valley had no problem doing just that on Monday. Everything went their way against The Meadows School Mustangs as they made off with an 18-3 victory. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 contests by seven runs or more this season.
Saphire Holm made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Holm was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Gracy Fullman was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Emmy Cornwall was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Moapa Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as The Meadows School didn't got any hits.
Moapa Valley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.4 runs over those games. As for The Meadows School, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-14.
