Football Game Preview: Limon Badgers vs. Wray Eagles + How To Watch

Limon has gone 9-1 against Wray recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Badgers will challenge the Eagles at 1:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Limon is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Monte Vista 50-14. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 43-7.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Jacob Jaklich and Camdyn Tacha. Jaklich rushed for 140 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 12 carries while Tacha gained 85 total yards. Those 140 rushing yards gave Jaklich a new career-high.

Limon was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 342 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 168 rushing yards in six consecutive matchups.

Limon didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Brooks Scherrer and Brody Scherrer.

Meanwhile, Wray waltzed into their contest on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Cougars, posting a 50-14 win.

Limon better keep an eye on Austin Collins. He was instrumental in Wray's win, rushing for 89 yards and four scores, while also throwing for 234 yards and a pair of TDs on only 16 passes. Aaron Tena was Collins' top target, picking up 38 receiving yards, while also rushing for 89 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries.

Limon's record now sits at 10-1. As for Wray, their record is now 8-3.

Saturday's game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Tacha and Collins. Tacha just won't slow down this season and has run in 11 touchdowns while averaging 62.6 rushing yards per game. Collins has been a dominant force too and has thrown 13 touchdowns while averaging 104.6 passing yards per game.

Limon took their victory against Wray in their previous meeting back in October by a conclusive 28-7 score. Will the Badgers repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
