Basketball Game Preview: Northwood Chargers vs. Southeast Alamance Stallions

Northwood has gone a perfect 5-0 against Southeast Alamance recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Northwood Chargers will venture away from home to take on the Southeast Alamance Stallions at 7:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Northwood sitting on 13 straight victories and Southeast Alamance on six.

Last Tuesday, Northwood blew past Seaforth, posting a 64-33 win. The Chargers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 19 games by 21 points or more this season.

Cam Fowler and Chad Graves were among the main playmakers for Northwood as the former dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten boards and the latter posted 14 points along with five rebounds and three blocks. Fowler is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 46% in the last 17 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Blair, who scored nine points.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Tuesday Southeast Alamance sidestepped Chatham Central for a 51-49 victory.

Northwood pushed their record up to 24-2 with the win, which was their 24th straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.9 points. As for Southeast Alamance, their record is now 21-5.

Northwood took their victory against Southeast Alamance in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 72-51. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northwood since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
