Basketball Game Preview: Worthington Trojans vs. St. Peter Saints

After both having extra time off, the Worthington Trojans and the St. Peter Saints will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Worthington has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with five straight losses, while St. Peter will come in with five straight victories.

Worthington came up into this matchup off a tough 41-point defeat two weeks ago. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Waseca by a score of 46-43 last Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Trojans have suffered since February 17th.

Meanwhile, St. Peter escaped with a win last Friday against New Ulm by the margin of a single free throw, 73-72.

St. Peter's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Worthington, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.
