Softball Recap: Harper Creek Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Harper Creek got themselves on the board against Hastings on Tuesday, but Hastings never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Saxons. The Beavers haven't had any issues with the Saxons recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Kennedy Halverson was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Kaylee Kirkpatrick was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Harper Creek always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .769. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Harper Creek's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.5 runs over those games. As for Hastings, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.

Harper Creek will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Saxons: the pair will be back at it again later today.
