Basketball Recap: Fort Wayne South Side Takes a Loss

It was a classic North v. South duel when Fort Wayne South Side took on Fort Wayne Northrop on Friday. The Fort Wayne South Side Archers took a blow against the Fort Wayne Northrop Bruins, falling 62-18. The Archers haven't had much luck with the Bruins recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Fort Wayne South Side got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Bry'Lee Diedrich-Williams and Reneasha Autry, who each put up six points. Diedrich-Williams also led the team in rebounds with six.

Fort Wayne South Side's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Fort Wayne Northrop, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

Fort Wayne South Side will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Homestead at 6:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025. As for Fort Wayne Northrop, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 60-37 win against Bedford North Lawrence on the 21st.
