Softball Recap: Webber Comes Up Short

Webber was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Odin/Patoka/Sandoval Eagles, falling 18-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-6 back in April.

Webber saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maryn Sneed, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Webber's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Odin/Patoka/Sandoval, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-12 record this season.

Webber will venture away from home to square off against Wayne City at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Odin/Patoka/Sandoval, they will host Vandalia at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Vandals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed ten runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
