Recap: McIntosh Demons vs. Fruitdale Pirates
The McIntosh Demons stacked a 12th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 89-33 win over Fruitdale. McIntosh's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Brittney Reed Jr. continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 34 points and 17 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last nine games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Corey Williams, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Several Pirates players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Deion Taylor, who scored nine points. Another player making a difference was CJ Weaver, who scored six points.
Fruitdale struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as McIntosh racked up 12 assists.
The victory makes it two in a row for McIntosh and bumps their season record up to 19-3. As for Fruitdale, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-15.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Millry the next time they take the court. Fruitdale will host Millry at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while McIntosh will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
