Football Game Preview: Plano Wildcats vs. Prosper Eagles

Plano hasn't had much luck against Prosper recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Wildcats will take on the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Plano has given up an average of 28.2 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Plano and Plano West meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Wildcats lost 35-14 to the Wolves.

Plano's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Chance Culley, who rushed for 100 yards and a pair of TDs, and Kam Brown, who rushed for 64 yards on only nine carries. Culley is also on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last four games he's played dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Prosper strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They really took it to Rock Hill for the full four quarters, racking up a 72-6 victory. That looming 72-6 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Eagles yet this season.

Prosper's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Plano, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Plano was dealt a bruising 48-14 loss at the hands of Prosper when the teams last played back in October of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Wildcats were down 31-7.
