Softball Recap: Hilton Head Prep Comes Up Short

Hilton Head Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Cross Stingrays, falling 23-8. On the bright side, the eight- run effort marked the Dolphins' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Hilton Head Prep's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Cross, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-4.

Hilton Head Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cross, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Whale Branch at 6:00 p.m. on the 22nd. The Stingrays are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
