Basketball Recap: Leigh Takes a Loss

Leigh lost against Christopher on January 3rd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The match between the Leigh Longhorns and the Christopher Cougars didn't end well, with the Leigh Longhorns falling 64-48. While losing is never fun, the Longhorns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 312th, while the Cougars are ranked 70th).

This is the second loss in a row for Leigh and nudges their season record down to 8-8. As for Christopher, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season.

Leigh will look to defend their home court on Friday against Pioneer at 7:00 p.m. Christopher has already played their next contest (against Branham), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
