Baseball Recap: Strake Jesuit Comes Up Short

Strake Jesuit and Seven Lakes squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Strake Jesuit had to settle for second. They lost 16-1 to the Spartans. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Fighting Crusaders couldn't push the score so high this time.

Strake Jesuit's loss dropped their record down to 17-12. As for Seven Lakes, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-11 record this season.

While Strake Jesuit had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
