Basketball Recap: Veritas Academy Comes Up Short

Veritas Academy lost against Hill Country Christian School of Austin back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Veritas Academy had to suffer through a 76-37 loss at the hands of the Hill Country Christian School of Austin Knights. While losing is never fun, Veritas Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 963rd, while Hill Country Christian School of Austin is ranked 427th).

Veritas Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Hill Country Christian School of Austin, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Veritas Academy will head out to challenge Concordia at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hill Country Christian School of Austin, they will face off against Texas School for the Deaf at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
