Basketball Recap: Angel Thompson and Kearson Carter Secure Win for Radford

Radford hadn't done well against Carroll County recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Radford Bobcats walked away with a 47-34 victory over the Carroll County Cavaliers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 52-31 back in January.

Leading Radford to victory were Kearson Carter and Angel Thompson. Carter went 5-for-9 en route to 14 points along with six steals and five rebounds, while Thompson went 7-for-11 to rack up 16 points and four steals. Carter has become a key player for Radford: the team is 9-4 when she posts at least five steals, but 1-7 otherwise. Melody Burks was another key player, putting up nine points.

Radford's record now sits at 10-11. As for Carroll County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-21.

Radford didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 55-50 win against Floyd County on the 22nd. Carroll County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
