Basketball Game Preview: Lake Flyers vs. Genoa Area Comets

Lake hasn't had much luck against Genoa Area recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Flyers will be home for the holidays to greet the Comets at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Lake fought the good fight in their overtime game against Otsego on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 68-65. The loss was the Flyers' first of the season.

Meanwhile, Genoa Area strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They enjoyed a cozy 59-41 victory over Oak Harbor.

Genoa Area's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Lake, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Lake took a serious blow against Genoa Area in their previous matchup back in January, falling 80-31. Can the Flyers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
