Basketball Recap: Pierce County Takes a Loss

Pierce County lost against Tattnall County two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Pierce County Bears came up short against the Tattnall County Warriors, falling 40-18. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 447th, while the Warriors are ranked 177th).

Pierce County's loss dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Tattnall County, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

Pierce County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tattnall County, they will be playing at home against Appling County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Appling County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 contests -- so hopefully Tattnall County likes a good challenge.
