Volleyball Recap: Oxnard Triumphs

Oxnard saw some tournament action on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Castaic Coyotes. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Yellowjackets.

Their offense was headlined by Leilah McDougald and Makena Kott, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Maya Cunningham and her 15 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

The win got Oxnard back to even at 3-3. As for Castaic, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Oxnard didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Foothill Tech on the 29th. As for Castaic, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Ranch at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
