Baseball Recap: Becton Comes Up Short

Becton came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 8-2 to the Rutherford Bulldogs. The Wildcats have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Becton's loss dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Rutherford, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.

Becton will take on Cresskill at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Rutherford, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Montclair Kimberley Academy at 4:00 p.m.
