Softball Recap: Mcloughlin Extends Winning Streak to Four

McLoughlin waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the Dayton Bulldogs as they made off with a 20-10 win. While the Pioneers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-11), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

McLoughlin's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Dayton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-5.

McLoughlin will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bulldogs: the pair will be back at it again later today.
