Basketball Recap: Lincoln Takes a Loss

Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost to the DSST: Montview Knights at home by a 56-42 margin.

Despite the defeat, Lincoln saw an underclassman step up: freshman Beikerson Alvarez posted eight points and 11 rebounds. Alvarez is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last eight games he's played. Dechon Traylor was another key player, putting up four points and five assists.

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for DSST: Montview, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-8.

Lincoln has already played their next contest, a 68-39 defeat against DSST: Cedar on the 14th. As for DSST: Montview, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 57-40 loss against DSST: Green Valley Ranch on the 14th.
