Volleyball Recap: Hanover's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Nine

Hanover had already won eight in a row and they went ahead and made it nine on Tuesday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Clifton-Clyde Eagles. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 2-0 victory on Tuesday.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Hanover who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-23, 22-25, 25-15.

Hanover was led to victory by Leigha Jueneman and Katie Holle. Jueneman had 16 digs and one assist, while Holle had 32 assists and ten digs. Holle has been hot for a while, having posted 13 or more assists the last 36 times she's played. Einslee Stallbaumer also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Hanover's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Clifton-Clyde, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-8.

Coincidentally, Hanover and Clifton-Clyde will both be playing Smith Center the next time they take the court. The Wildcats will head out to face the Redmen on Saturday, while the Eagles will play them later in the day, at 9:00 a.m.
