Basketball Game Preview: Plenty Coups Warriors vs. Absarokee Huskies

The Plenty Coups Warriors will challenge the Absarokee Huskies at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Plenty Coups has 15 straight victories, Absarokee has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

If Plenty Coups beats Absarokee with 63 points on Thursday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. Plenty Coups beat Reed Point/Rapelje on Saturday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 63-19. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, it's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Absarokee can now relate to. They fell 58-50 to the Rockets on Thursday. One positive for the Huskies, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Plenty Coups pushed their record up to 15-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.4 points. As for Absarokee, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.
