Soccer Recap: Corona del Sol Takes a Loss

After flying high against Millennium last Thursday, Corona del Sol came back down to earth. The Corona del Sol Aztecs took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Desert Vista Thunder on Monday. If the Aztecs were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Corona del Sol's loss dropped their record down to 8-6-3. As for Desert Vista, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5-1 record this season.

Corona del Sol didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Cienega on the 6th. As for Desert Vista, they will face off against Sunnyslope at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
