Volleyball Recap: Thatcher Takes a Loss

Thatcher lost against Safford back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagles fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 3-2. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Makenzi Lunt paced Thatcher's offense, picking up 15 kills. Lunt got some help from Alli Johnson and her 23 assists. Johnson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Thatcher's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Safford, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-8.

Thatcher didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Tanque Verde on the 30th. As for Safford, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against ALA - Ironwood on the 25th.
