After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Spaulding, Exeter was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Winnacunnet Warriors, sneaking past 5-4. That's more bragging rights for the Blue Hawks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Jill Ryan 2028 was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double. That double was her first of the season. Lilah Smalley 2026 was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Exeter's victory bumped their record up to 4-6-1. As for Winnacunnet, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-5 record.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Exeter will face off against rival Londonderry at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Winnacunnet is set to take on their familiar foe Dover at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
