Softball Recap: Buchanan Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Buchanan's offense. They fell 3-0 to the Clovis North Broncos on Wednesday. The Bears have struggled against the Broncos recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Buchanan saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Natalee Gant, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Buchanan's loss dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Clovis North, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Buchanan is set to face off against their familiar foe Clovis East at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bears 3.2, the Timberwolves 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Clovis North will square off against rival Clovis West at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
