Basketball Game Preview: Athens Bible Trojans vs. Elkmont Red Devils

The Athens Bible Trojans will venture away from home to face off against the Elkmont Red Devils at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Athens Bible is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Shoals Christian just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 60-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Flame.

Meanwhile, Elkmont came up short against West Limestone on Monday and fell 58-47. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Athens Bible's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Elkmont, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-18.

Athens Bible was able to grind out a solid win over Elkmont in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 64-57. The rematch might be a little tougher for Athens Bible since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
