Tupelo Christian Prep and Biggersville are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. The Tupelo Christian Prep Eagles will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against the Biggersville Lions at 7:00 p.m. Tupelo Christian Prep is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.4 runs per game this season.

Last Wednesday, Tupelo Christian Prep didn't have quite enough to beat Independence and fell 7-6.

Jax Coker put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run.

In other batting news, Brooks Bresee made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Biggersville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of Alcorn Central.

Brooks Seago was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Dillon Johnson, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3.

Tupelo Christian Prep's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Biggersville, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.

Biggersville's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Tupelo Christian Prep has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.5 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Biggersville, though, as they've been averaging only 3.5 strikeouts. Will Tupelo Christian Prep keep running through batters, or will Biggersville buck the trend?

Tupelo Christian Prep suffered a grim 16-5 defeat to Biggersville in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can Tupelo Christian Prep avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
