Volleyball Recap: Urbana University Takes a Loss

Urbana University was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 41st straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Judah Christian Tribe. The Illineks were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tribe from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-8.

Mackenzie Jackson had a dynamite game For Judah Christian., getting 25 assists and six aces. Those six aces gave Jackson a new career-high. Katherine Kutz also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Urbana University's loss dropped their record down to 0-26. As for Judah Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-12 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Urbana University will head out to square off against Arcola at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Judah Christian, they will take on Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
