Softball Recap: Bellport Takes a Loss

Bellport lost against East Islip back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Clippers lost 8-1 to the Redmen. The Clippers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bellport saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Charlotte Barry, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Barry has brought in this season.

Bellport's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for East Islip, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Bellport will square off against rival West Babylon at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, East Islip is set to face off against their familiar foe Smithtown West at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
